The sea is becoming a new frontier, navigated through a deeper connection between humans and machines. Unmanned surface vehicles are shaping this future and our proven engineering expertise keeps us at the forefront of this marine innovation.
We don’t design isolated hulls or standalone subsystems. We engineer the vessel as a coherent, interdependent system; where naval architecture, hydrodynamics, sensing, control, and connectivity are developed together.
Simulation creates hypotheses, testing creates truth. We adress naval design as a continuous process of design, simulation, testing and data-driven refinement; reducing uncertainty and accelerating decisions
As an innovation-driven engineering lab, we accelerate concept validation through rapid prototyping. Turning ideas into test-ready systems to validate concepts before industrialisation.
We build robust real-time situational awareness through multimodal sensor fusion, designed for redundancy and reliable performance across day/night operations and challenging weather.
We integrate robust communication channels around the USV, supporting telemetry, mission updates, and supervisory control even in dynamic maritime conditions.
Our low-level control systems ensures the vessel operates with safety in any sea state condition thanks to predictive control algorithms. Delivering stable and accurate route tracking.
We build a hierarchical autonomy stack, combining strategic and trajectory planing with transparent decision logic and COLREGs-aware behavior.
During the 33rd America’s Cup cycle, Mario Caponnetto contributed to hydrodynamic assessment workstreams aligned with the BMW Oracle wing-sail platform, the configuration that ultimately won the Match. This milestone marked the shift toward aero-hydrodynamic integration in Cup design culture.

In 2021, Caponnetto Hueber led the CFD, foil design, and hydrodynamic engineering for the AC75 of Luna Rossa Challenge, the eventual Prada Cup winner. We deployed multiscale CFD and aero-hydro coupling to ensure optimum lift and control. Rapid iteration delivered performance gains under tight competition timelines.
